One of the first lessons I learned about fixing a home. There are several ways to replace or fix a window in today's world. I discovered that this house had 3 windows that were always fogged up because the air seal was broken. I initially tried cleaning the windows, then settled on drilling tiny little holes which would allow the window to air out, and finally realized that it would have been cheaper, better for the bottom line, and easier to just completely replace them from the get go. Sometimes the cheaper fix becomes more expensive down the line. This is 2026 by the way. Very key thing to note, because if we were back in pre-2000s then fixing that window by taking it apart and resealing it may have been a good option, but in today's world we just don't have enough tradespeople to do this for a reasonable amount of money.
