I've been thinking about this a lot lately...
It's entirely possible to complete every task you've been given and still completely miss the mission.
A soldier can complete every assignment and never understand the campaign.
A husband can provide for his family and still fail to lead them spiritually.
A father can coach every game but never disciple his children.
And a Christian can attend church every Sunday, read the Bible, pray faithfully, and serve in ministry... yet completely lose sight of why Christ left us here.
Just because you completed the task doesn't mean you understand the mission.
Somewhere along the way, many of us started treating Christianity like a checklist.
✔️ Go to church.
✔️ Read your Bible.
✔️ Say your prayers.
✔️ Repeat next Sunday.
But Jesus never called us to check boxes.
He called us to follow Him.
He called us to make disciples.
"Go, therefore, and make disciples of all nations..." — Matthew 28:19
We don't pray just to maintain a habit. We pray because we want to know our Father.
We don't read Scripture just to finish another chapter. We read it because we want God's Word to transform us from the inside out.
We don't gather with other believers because it's Sunday. We gather to worship, be sharpened, encourage one another, and prepare for the mission waiting outside the church doors.
Every conversation matters.
Every act of kindness matters.
Every sacrifice matters.
Every opportunity to share Christ matters.
Because when we lose sight of the mission, our faith becomes routine.
When we remember the mission, every ordinary moment becomes an opportunity to point someone toward Jesus.
So let me ask you...
When was the last time your life intentionally pointed someone to Christ?
Not just by attending church.
Not just by posting a Bible verse.
But by the way you loved, served, forgave, sacrificed, and lived.
Because at the end of the day, God isn't looking for people who simply completed the assignment.
He's looking for disciples who understand the mission.
