Cudmirrah Beach - NSW South Coast
Spent the morning out at Cudmirrah Beach and this stretch just keeps going.
Roughly 3km of coastline backed by dunes, with Swan Lake sitting just behind it, so you get ocean on one side and heaps of birdlife around the lake and shoreline.
This isn’t technically a national park, but it sits right alongside Conjola National Park. Once you head into the surrounding trails you’ll be inside the park, and even some of the dunes and sections of the beach fall within its boundaries.
The nesting season for endangered shorebirds has just wrapped up, but this beach is known for birds that lay their eggs directly on the sand during the warmer months, which is why you’ll see signs and fenced areas along the way.
Super quiet compared to a lot of South Coast spots, which makes it perfect for a slower walk and just taking it all in.
