Hello and thank you for such a wonderful insight into your world of community. I caught this message in perfect timing, such is life 🙏
I am only in 2 groups on Skool but have been very guilty of the lurking to which you speak on Facebook. I’m no longer on FB or instagram and see them both as toxic imo.
I joined you 30 day challenge very excited to experience the different mediums and put that time aside for exploring, as you will know, I didn’t make it passed the first day! But it has been nagging my thoughts like an open tab on the computer. In fact I came here to ask if there was any possibility of doing the days again even though they have passed. That’s when I saw the replay for yesterday I thought I’d catch up with that and found great value in your discussion not least because I’m about to embark on my own community. The discussion from yourself and the ladies attending really helped me regards my expectations.
Creativity has been on my to do list for decades 🙈 I am writing now though 👍
Anyway, I wanted to post here rather than emails so your wonderful members could also see how valuable they have been, by showing up!
What landed for me is that on starting my own group I will give an overview of expectations, similar to your rant 🤣and ask people to set themselves a review date about their decision in their calendar. Asking them to do me the courtesy if they feel able, to let me know why they are leaving, if they choose to do so. And I hope the reminder will serve if nothing else to jog their memory. So many “open tabs” in our brains makes us run slow so it’s for their benefit too!
Also joining something on a whim is common behaviour as most of the population are Generators (human design) and are built to respond to the gut. We feel the energy of the intentions of the group and leader so it does often seem right at the time and as you say people are often on the take so the enticing initial offer maybe all they are interested in. But those of us, and there’s a lot! Who are supposed to make decisions after our emotional wave, clarity comes over a little while and only by engaging will that become apparent. I didn’t engage so I don’t yet know if it is a community for me. I can say I enjoyed the real discussion you had and if timing works, as I’m I. The U.K. I would hope to join in again in real time. But please know your value ripples out whether people are on the call live or not. It did for me anyway 🙏
Ps any chance of still seeing the daily videos for the month pleeeease
