Ik I'm not a big artist, yet but I still wanna spread the word to some upcoming artist because this is such an amazing opportunity. The new generation of musicians/ youtubers coming up are using YT shorts to grain new fans/ subscribers before even putting out long form content. I can't tell you how many times I see Youtubers use this method to build there fans base, some I'm gonna to link at the end.
There is this youtuber named, "MMontra" I've been following bro for a min, and what he did was put out a ton of shorts consistently, waited till his fans started begging for long form content, then put out his first video. Now keep in mind, even though his channel looks like he had less shorts, he actually private them cuz Ik for a fact he used to have a ton of shorts and was grinding for a min. But if you still need some convincing, then let's move on to my next example.
There is this upcoming indie musician named, "carrjond" who i just found randomly. What he is doing is just making tons of YT shorts and putting them out constantly (like seriously dude post like everyday), and puts out songs here and there. Instead of just posting a ton of his music, he's making shorts and as he growing, he puts out a song here in there. Just before you say, "oh it only works for indie artist" may I add a rapper name, "babychiefdoit" him and his team puts out tons of YT shorts everyday, granted he's already blew up, he's still getting his name out there. Another rapper raq baby is doing the same thing, and so on and so forth.
In conclusion, you'll dumbass better hop on this before it turns into the next TikTok, it's new and barely any artist are using it, call it the new soundcloud or tiktok if so. You'll better hop on it before other musicians and content creators hop on it. Every decade or so we get a new platform that artist can post and gain fans organically. Me and my homie just started months ago and we gained subscribers outta no where. Hop on it before it's too late.
