Starting My Dropshipping Journey in 2025: Seeking Your Wisdom and Advice

I recently joined a semiconductor company as an engineer after finishing my PhD. While I’ve always been drawn to academia, I’ve also had a long-standing curiosity about running and operating a business. Back in high school, I tried out small initiatives, but life steered me toward something else. Now, I’m ready to explore something new—and dropshipping caught my attention as an interesting way to test the waters and gain hands-on experience. My ultimate goal? To build my own brand someday.

I’ve made a promise to myself this year: no fear of failure, staying persistent, and not giving up. Over the past week, I’ve dived into several YouTube videos, set up a Shopify account, and started learning AutoDS for order fulfillment. So far, I’ve selected just one product (via AliExpress) as I focus on understanding consumer behavior and identifying a niche to work with.
