Taskmaster progress
It's been a process...
Look, the truth is I spent years as an "Integrator" (jargon for COO) doing this whole thing by hand.
Literally.
  1. Assessing the current state of a company through multiple variables
  2. Determining the primary and secondary constraints
  3. Crafting a 90 day growth plan / strategic initiatives for the quarter using best practices adapted to the specific needs of the organization
  4. Decomposing those initiatives into detailed project plans.
  5. Setting a weekly rhythm for accountability and course correction via leadership meeting
  6. Holding a daily standup to ensure that the right tasks were being executed
Managing this planning horizon was a beast. It's the Strategy Execution infrastructure for any company.
But In the age of AI it's nauseating to think of the 100's of hours that we spent on enablement work.
That's to say, not the "actual work", per se.
The stuff that was on the periphery. The type of stuff that set the stage for the real work.
Oftentimes thankless in nature.. Almost always overlooked for being much easier than it was...
The point of this isn't a sob story though. Far from it.
This is a moment of breakthrough and celebration.
ESPECIALLY for those among us who have had to span the strategic and operational world simultaneously.
"One foot in the boardroom planning, the other on the showroom flow hustling"
For the first time, we are THIS |------| close to getting a new type of capability.
A capability set that can be best described as an "AI COO"...
Now I want to manage expectations.
This is more like, a single set of SOP's that a good COO would run.
So it's a partial augmentation. A "fractional integrator automation", you could say.
The good news for all of us is that I spent the last 7+ years working to understand which of those COO SOP's would be the highest leverage for the broadest range of SMB's.
It's the fast track for building a self-optimizing organization. But more on that later.
Special thanks to for her tireless efforts as our first Alpha Tester.
