Question about upwork job listing

Hey everyone, quick question, do you guys keep posting proposals if you see that the job listing has already a hire (like here). or interviews or invites sent.

Usually I don't mind the number of proposals being high, so I can bid with connects, but if the other metrics are high. should we just ignore the job post and move on to another one?

I wonder at what metric should we abandon a job post because it will be just losing connects just like that.

would love to hear your opinions on this.
