Hey everyone
My Walmart seller account started selling in December 2024, and my item listing limit was 10,000 at the beginning.
My item listings reached 9,900+ items in week 6, and I received a notification from Walmart that I had almost reached the maximum number of items I can list on Marketplace.
So I went to the "Listing limit" window at the bottom of my "Account hub" page and opened a case to request to increase my item listing limit from 10,000 to 20,000.
I answered several questions in this case for Walmart to review, including:
1. Please provide description of the issue
2.Why are you requesting a offer listing limit increase?
3. What steps are you taking to uphold our Seller Performance, Code of Conduct and Policy Guidelines?
4. What do you believe your offer listing limit should be increased to?
I used Google AI Gemini 2.0 to help me write answers to the 4 questions above. Fortunately, after two days of review by Walmart, I was notified that my item listing limit has been increased to 20,000 due to good performance.
Actually, my On-time delivery, Valid tracking, and Refunds metrics were sometimes below the standard, but fortunately the situation was not too serious, so Walmart still approved my request.
Nicholas mentioned that many people have asked him about how to get approval to increase item listing limits, so I would like to share my experience with you, hoping it will be helpful. Thanks.
