Why do we want a ‘Challenge Mindset’?
If we choose to interpret a situation as a challenge rather than a threat, we can see potentially several psychological benefits, for example, more facilitative perceptions/interpretations of ones anxiety, which then can lead to an overall improved performance.
Adopting what one could call the "challenge mindset" i found can help in developing psychological resilience within ones own mindset, giving some degree of control in how you are thinking, and how you choose to react to how you are thinking.
Psychological or we could say emotional resilience includes a protective quality that refers to an individual maintaining their own ownership for how they feels which then intern affects their academic professional and personal performance and wellbeing.
Therefore when exposed too a pressurized or stressful situation as we build our own challenge mindset one can build the "Challenge mindset" therefore grow robust resilience.
This in turn should in therefore help one to bounce back to their normal but why be normal or your normal why not challenge and be better. ( in all honesty this is something which is work in progress for me as emotional resilience after relationship failure is something needing more work)
Think of all our successful individuals including athletes there is certainty that along the journey to success one will experience such set-backs at some point.
Therefore why not challenge the paradigm, Why not Challenge the mindset the question is not whether one will encounter adversity, rather, how will we choose to respond when adversity occurs? remembering we are accountable to how we choose to feel about out thoughts our mindset as well as our actions.
With this in mind one can choose to see why emotional resilience is fundamental to challenging the mindset changing the paradigm and central to success and developing The Challenge Mindset in in order to build resilience.
