To develop a life balance, think in terms of 3s.
First divide your day into 3 equal sections:
1) Work (8 hours) - how you earn a living?
2) Sleep (8 hours) - how to rest and recover?
3) Spend (8 hours) - how you choose to live and spend your time away from work and rest?
How you choose to spend your time then gets divided into 3 further categories of:
1) 3Fs - Family, Friends & Faith
2) 3Ss - Soul, Service & Smile
3) 3Hs - Health, Hobby & Hygiene
A balanced life does not imply a perfectly equal subdivision of time across work, sleep and spend and further across all 3Fs, 3Ss and 3Hs.
What this framework suggests is to not ignore all the key factors that create a healthy human experience. From time to time we get too caught up with work or even our hobbies or with a relationship or even over resting. This mental model is a friendly reminder to readjust a few things to bring harmony back into your routine.
Hope this helps someone struggling with possible burnouts and in need of reassessing their priorities.

With love
