🍑 Hip Thrust vs Glute Bridge
Most people think these are the same exercise.
They’re not.
Both train your glutes… but they don’t challenge them the same way.
The glute bridge is done from the floor. Shorter range of motion. Easier to control.
Great for beginners, activation, and learning how to actually use your glutes.
The hip thrust elevates your shoulders. More range of motion. More tension at the top.
This is where real glute growth happens.
So the real question is… what do you need?
If you’re trying to learn your glutes → glute bridge.
If you’re trying to build your glutes → hip thrust.
Start with bridges.
Progress to thrusts.
Don’t confuse “similar” with “equal.”
