One of the biggest misconceptions in content creation is believing that content exists to provide information.
It doesn't.
Information is everywhere.
Connection is rare.
When someone decides to:
✔ Follow you
✔ Join your group
✔ Subscribe to your community
✔ Buy your offer
✔ Refer a friend
It's usually because they connected with you emotionally first.
This is why I teach my clients and community members to create content around four core reactions.
1. Content That Makes People FEEL
Examples:
- Personal stories
- Testimonies
- Lessons learned
- Behind-the-scenes struggles
- Transformation journeys
Purpose:
To build trust and relatability.
Question to ask:
"What emotion do I want my audience to feel?"
Examples:
Hope.
Relief.
Encouragement.
Conviction.
Inspiration.
2. Content That Makes People THINK
Examples:
- Contrarian opinions
- Perspective shifts
- Questions
- Hot takes
- Industry myths
Purpose:
To challenge existing beliefs.
Question to ask:
"What belief am I helping my audience reconsider?"
3. Content That Entertains
Examples:
- Funny stories
- Relatable memes
- Entrepreneur struggles
- Mom life moments
- Behind-the-scenes humor
Purpose:
To increase engagement and relatability.
Question to ask:
"What would make my audience smile and say, 'That's so me'?"
4. Content That Inspires Action
Examples:
- Challenges
- Prompts
- Checklists
- Tutorials
- Calls-to-action
Purpose:
To move people from consuming content to doing something.
Question to ask:
"What action do I want my audience to take after seeing this?"
The AI Prompt
Copy and paste this into ChatGPT:
"Based on my niche, target audience, mission, and message, create:
- 10 content ideas that make my audience FEEL emotion
- 10 content ideas that make my audience THINK deeply
- 10 content ideas that entertain my audience
- 10 content ideas that inspire my audience to TAKE ACTION
For each idea include:
- A hook
- A caption outline
- A suggested call-to-action
Make the content authentic, relatable, emotionally engaging, and designed to create conversation."
Final Thought
Don't ask:
"What should I post today?"
Ask:
"What reaction do I want to create today?"
That single shift can completely change how your audience responds to your content.
