It was science fiction when I was growing up, but AI and technology in general are advancing at breakneck speed. Brain implants, the Neuralink chip, Nectome, and uploading the mind to the cloud could lead to this inevitable outcome: You “back yourself up,” and when you die, your consciousness is transferred to a robot. How long until that technology becomes a reality?
