Hi all, I really debated writing this post, but feel that as we grow, we will have to develop rules for our chats. We have a large variety of people here from all walks of life, traditions, cultures, spiritualities/religions, political parties, etc. Therefore, we must expect to have disagreements, especially when discussing difficult topics. That being said, there is an expectation of respect given to all parties, even when a disagreement occurs. I very much hesitated adding spiritual/religious chats for this very reason as in my experience, these chats always end up going down the same path and with the same results. However, I also fully believe that if any group of people can overcome these issues and truly begin to not only learn about each other, but ACCEPT each other, it is us. Due to my work schedule, I can only spend so many hours a day in each chat to moderate. The only way I can assign mods with administrative duties is by adding membership fees. I want to avoid doing that for as long as possible, so am asking everyone to please respect these rules. Thanks so much! Halda (aka Doc)
