Every letter occupies an identical width. What appears rigid serves a precise purpose – code that aligns perfectly, tables that maintain structure, and technical documentation where spacing matters absolutely.
Courier. Consolas. Monaco. The workhorses of programmers and technical writers.
Often overlooked, yet essential to our digital world.
Personally, I don’t use monospaced typefaces, other than perhaps OpenType tabular lining figures in tables and such. Do you have any use for these types of fonts?
