What's holding you back from improving your finances?
“If you want different results, you’ve got to do different.” 🔁
It’s not a famous quote, but it’s one that hits home — because deep down, we all know it’s true.
When I first started on my journey, all I wanted was to make lots of money without sacrificing my health or relationships. 💡 Financial freedom was just an idea — something other people had, not something I could touch. But years later, I realized this is where I began…
  • 📚 I lacked financial education — I didn’t know how money worked, so I couldn’t make it work for me.
  • 🏃‍♂️ I followed mainstream advice: work hard, save more, pay down my mortgage ASAP, max out RRSPs and TFSAs, and buy company stock options.
  • I believed pre-construction properties were “can’t miss” investments because prices would always rise.
  • I tracked every expense against my income — but it just turned me into a penny pincher who wasn’t enjoying life.
  • I thought 80+ hour workweeks were the path to bigger paycheques and financial security.
  • And I assumed real estate investing was simply “buy, rent, pray,” then wait 30 years for the mortgage to be paid off.
Looking back, all of that was soul-crushing. And that’s exactly why I’m such a passionate advocate for financial education now — because it changes everything. 🌱
👉 So, let’s start with you: what’s holding you back right now from reaching the next level — not just the next deal, but true financial freedom?
Have a portfolio that's not performing so I feel stuck
The fear of starting is crippling me even though I want to
I don't make enough money right now to do this
I'm not sure if real estate investing is for me
I'm balancing so many things in life already - how will this work?
I don't have enough savings to even buy a property
