Why I’m Skipping the Turkey Trot This Year… 🦃🏃♀️ Here's what happened... Last Thanksgiving, I decided I was going to do the “healthy thing” and sign up for a Turkey Trot. You know, to “earn” my stuffing and pumpkin pie. 🥧 So there I was, bundled up at the starting line, surrounded by overly enthusiastic runners in turkey hats and Thanksgiving-themed costumes. The air was chilly, and I thought, “Okay, this will be fun… I can totally handle this.” Fast forward 20 minutes, and I was already regretting every decision that led me to this moment. My pace? Let’s just say I was closer to a leisurely “Turkey Waddle” than a trot. I got passed by a guy dressed as a full-sized gravy boat. Yes, gravy. With the ladle and everything. And he was FAST! By the time I crossed the finish line, I was sweaty, sore, and ready to hibernate instead of celebrate.
