I often write poems. Sharing makes them real. This came out this morning:
Umami Love
First spark on the lips,
like honey dissolving fast - tender,
fleeting joy.
Shadows on the tongue,
teaching strength through cutting contrast
truth behind the ache.
Deep savor remains,
soul nourished beyond the thrill
Wholeness tastes like home.

It is yours to do whatever you like with.
Extract whatever meaning works for you, and I would love for you to share what emotions or thoughts come up when you read it.

In case you've never heard of Umami...
- Umami is the fifth taste (beyond sweet, salty, sour, and bitter).
- It’s often described as savory, rich, deep, and satisfying. Think of how a perfectly slow-cooked broth or aged Parmesan tastes - not flashy, but grounding and memorable.
- It lingers. It’s subtle, yet it makes the whole dish feel complete.
Don't forget to share what this poem made you think and feel.
