TA-14 Authority defines a field-enforced diagnostic standard for residential HVAC systems.
The TA-14 standard establishes a fixed diagnostic sequence with mandatory steps, required measurements, and verifiable evidence. Each step must be executed in order. No step may be skipped, inferred, or replaced by opinion, experience, or habit.
TA-14 replaces technician-dependent diagnosis with system-directed execution. Diagnostic conclusions are derived from measured data, observed conditions, and documented proof.
The standard is designed to be homeowner-verifiable. Diagnostic actions, findings, and conclusions must be transparent, documented, and reviewable.
TA-14 Academy exists to train technicians, contractors, and trainers to operate inside the TA-14 Authority standard. Training and certification are measured by adherence to the defined diagnostic sequence, evidence requirements, and verification rules.
