Hey everyone. I backtested the free FundedAlgo indicator with the 80% strategy settings (XAUUSD, 5mn TF) and had phenomenal results over the past 1.5 months. I’ve never seen this level of accuracy for an indicator - especially free - and I’m very excited about what’s possible with the pro tools. However results for the past 6 months prior to that were completely different (negative or breakeven at best). Since this strat was backtested and optimized for Gold, I’m thinking maybe it was optimized based on the last couple months (most recent market conditions) so it would make sense it only gave great results over the past couple months? And if so, I’d assume having the paid version with back tester should potentially allow me to get similar results long term, no matter what the market conditions are? Can more experienced users/admins clarify? @king-sivaa-4753 PS: Yes I understand this is a strat backtested and optimized for Gold on the 1h TF but I like smaller TFs and clearly my results demonstrate that the 5mn TF works too. Now I wanna know if I can reproduce those results long term with proper ongoing backtesting.

What would you say to someone who argues that trading success relies more on market conditions than on individual skills and insights?
