Unwritten Rules in Japan 🇯🇵
“Too Much Perfume?” ki wo tsukete!
Do you like wearing perfume????👯‍♀️✨
If you have favourite ones, please let me know!! I do love perfume! So I wear them almost every single day❤️
However...in Japan, strong smells from perfume or cologne are often seen as unpleasant, especially in closed spaces like trains or offices.
People value personal space — and smells can “invade” that space. So:
👉 Go easy on perfume — or skip it completely!
💡 Be extra careful in places like:
  • 🚇 Packed trains
  • 🏢 Workplaces & meetings
  • 🍱 Cafes or restaurants
  • 🎭 Movie theaters
🌸 Subtle is best.
In Japan, less scent = more polite!
I love perfume😍 But I also try to not wear really strong ones when I'm on the train or restaurant!!!
And when I had a job interview, strong perfume was big no👎👮
