Re-Digging what was once lost.
The Garden and the Blocked Pipe
A Man inherited a massive organic farm from his father. The father had built a perfect irrigation system that brought water from the mountains. But the day the father died, a group of vandals came and poured cement into the pipes. The Son did not go and look for a new farm. He did not try to invent "new water." He took a hammer and a chisel, and for many days, he crawled through the dark pipes, chipping away the cement. When the water finally burst through, it was the same water the father had used, but it was the Son’s sweat that made it flow again.
Read the whole chapter of Berěshith 26. Do not take my word for it. Look at how Yitshaq had to re-dig what his father already dug. I do not want you to be led astray by those who think you can live off your father's work forever. Read the record 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 kept so you can see the Law of Maintenance.
The Famine and the Command (Berěshith 26:1-3)
Right after Aḇraham died, the land was tested. A famine hit the earth.
Yitshaq wanted to go to Mitsrayim (Egypt) for help, just like his father did. 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 appeared to him and said, "Sojourn in this land, and I will be with thee."
The Master of the House had to prove he could survive on the Promise alone, without the "Safety Net" of Egypt or the physical presence of Aḇraham.
Re-Digging the Wells (Berěshith 26:18)
"And Yitshaq digged again the wells of water, which they had digged in the days of Aḇraham his father; for the Philistines had stopped them after the death of Aḇraham."
Enemies will always try to "fill in" your father's truth the moment he dies.
Yitshaq didn't just dig; he called the wells by the same names his father had called them.
A "Master" is not someone who invents a new doctrine, but someone who has the strength to Clear the Debris from the Ancient Paths.
Paleo-Hebrew explanation: 𐤁𐤀𐤓 (Beer - Well)
𐤁 (Beyt): House/Inside.
𐤀 (Aleph): Strength/Ox/Leader.
𐤓 (Resh): Head/Man.
A Well (𐤁𐤀𐤓) is "The Strength of the Leader Inside the House." If the well is stopped up, the house has no life. Yitshaq's job at 60 was to ensure the "Strength" was flowing for the next generation.
Abba 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄, we thank You for the "Wells of our Fathers." We thank You that You give us the strength to dig through the debris of the world to find the "Living Water." I pray for this teaching, that the group would see that they are called to be "Well-Diggers." Let us not be lazy in our maintenance, but call the truths by their original names. In the name of 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄𐤔𐤏, Amein.
