I have a TT coming up in two weeks which will determine my rankings for Germany in July. **For the 750m - I got 3:50L & 3:42R **For the 150m - I got 41.5L & 41.1R Granted I didn’t taper for these, I’m feeling pretty happy with the training so far. Plus, there was some crosswind on the day that I tested. **On Friday, I flew out to Kansas City for a 2-day AMAZING clinic with KC Pink Warriors. I had such a great time meeting all the amazing Warriors on the team, all having battled cancer and is full of energy to overcome anything! They didn’t even let a torrential downpour and thunderstorm slow them down! **I’m grateful that Eri held down the fort at home, watching all 3 kids. πŸ† MONTHLY PRIZES - TOP CONTRIBUTORS πŸ† Winners announced June 30th at 5PM PST! 1. **FIRST PLACE**: 4 weeks of Personalized Training Program ($400 value) 2. **SECOND PLACE**: 2 weeks of Personalized Training Program ($200 value) 3. **THIRD PLACE**: Gift a month of TLC Skool Community to a friend ($62 value) Prizes must be redeemed within the following month πŸ‘‡ COMMUNITY QUESTION πŸ‘‡ What's your favorite post-practice snack or meal that helps you recover?

Glute/Quad stretch on the water
Hi All, I bought my first OC1 last fall, and I mostly paddle OC6, so my body is still getting used to the seating position. When I get to about mile six, I find that my glutes and quads start to burn because of the position. I'm told my body will adjust when I have enough miles on the water...and I do think it's getting better. In the meantime, I generally pause and try to stretch without huli-ing. I haven't found a good way to really get a good stretch. Does anyone have an on-the-water stretch that works for this?
Hi! I'm Becky from Kansas City.
I started my dragon boat journey in 2022. I'm a member of KC Pink Warriors, an all female cancer survivor team. I love dragon boating; it is the only exercise I've ever done that I actually like to do. It was rough in the beginning - hitting paddles and splashing my teammates. I'm feeling much more confident and want to keep becoming better.
Kansas City Pink Warriors Paddling Clinic 🌸 - June 2025
What an incredible weekend with the KC Pink Warriors in Kansas City! These amazing women have built something truly special since founding their team in 2019 - now over 50 strong and growing every year. Mother Nature decided to test our dedication with a thunderstorm that dumped 2 inches of rain in just one hour! But did that stop these warriors? Not a chance. We waited it out, and as soon as the skies cleared, we were back on the water with even more determination. That's the spirit that has carried this team to victory at festivals across the country! 🌩️⚑ I'm deeply grateful for the opportunity to work with such resilient paddlers. Many of these incredible women have faced the ultimate test - cancer - and are either currently in treatment or celebrating being clear. Their strength, courage, and commitment to living life to the fullest is absolutely inspiring. Being on the water with them reminded me why dragon boat is so much more than just a sport. We focused on technique fundamentals, power development, and race strategy as they prepare for their second annual Kansas City Dragon Boat Festival in September. The energy and enthusiasm despite the weather challenges was phenomenal! We covered grabbing the drink, in & out, subway sandwiches, high five, ice skating, exit push, putting away your wallet, and lots of race starts and mock races! As team president Linda Miller says, "Being out on the water together is a special feeling β€” it's where we really tap into our own strength." I witnessed that strength firsthand this weekend. Thank you, KC Pink Warriors, for your hospitality, your heart, and for showing me what true warrior spirit looks like. Keep inspiring, restoring, and empowering! 🌸 #KCPinkWarriors #DragonBoat #CancerSurvivors #PaddlingTeknique #KansasCity
