- - What most get wrong: Treating this like your business. It's not. It's your storefront.
LAYER 2: CONVERSION (Monetization Platforms)
- Where people pay you
- - OF, Fansly, LoyalFans, etc.
- - Goal: Turn followers into subscribers
- - What most get wrong: Stopping here. You're leaving 40-60% on the table.
LAYER 3: RETENTION (Community & Ownership)
- Where you own the relationship
- - Email lists, Skool, Telegram, Discord, etc.
- - Goal: Turn subscribers into long-term customers
- - What most miss entirely: Relying 100% on platforms you don't control.
THE TRUTH:
Most creators are running a 1-layer business (just social platforms) or 2-layer business (social + monetization). They're vulnerable to algorithm changes, platform bans, and subscriber churn.
REALITY CHECK:
Layer 3 is where you build real wealth. It's where you control the audience, the pricing, and the future.
