Make Classroom Lessons More Useful Without Adding More Content
A simple idea that can make your Classroom lessons more valuable.
Instead of letting the lesson end when someone finishes it, attach a Community discussion to it.
For example if you have a rock climbing community and have a Classroom lesson on improving climbing technique.
You could create a Community post where members can:
Share a video of themselves climbing.
Ask for help with a move they're struggling with.
Share something from the lesson they tried.
Give tips to other climbers.
Post when they finally complete a route they've been working on.
Then pin that Community post directly on the bottom of the related Classroom page.
Now when a new member goes through that lesson six months from now.
They don't just get the original training.
They also get six months of climbing videos, questions, advice, examples, mistakes, breakthroughs and member results right there with it.
You could use the same idea throughout your Classroom:
Technique lesson → Share a climbing video for feedback
Grip lesson → What's giving you the most trouble?
Training plan → Share your weekly training goal
Beginner lesson → Ask your beginner climbing questions here
Challenge → Post the route you're working toward + your progress
Your Classroom provides the training.
Your Community provides the real-world experience around that training.
Put the two together and a lesson doesn't just sit there getting older.
Your members actually help make it better over time.
