Thank you to everyone who is subscribed, I really appreciate it!
I recently sat down to process everything I’ve learned scaling my channel from 0 to 4,000. Even if you have zero interest in growing a YouTube channel, the core theme I learned applies to whatever you are building: the importance of communicating clearly.
Here are 4 principles you can extract and apply to your own goals right now:
1. Assume Intelligence, But Not Context
- Never underestimate someone's intelligence, but don't overestimate their prior knowledge. People can learn fast, but you still need to provide them with the foundational context they need to catch up.
2. Leverage Simple Speech
- Simplicity is efficient. Ditch the complex jargon and big words. Clear, straightforward language is always the best way to help people understand you.
3. Validate Before You Build (Filter Your Ideas)
- Make sure there is a real need before investing your time and resources into a project. Consider the Total Addressable Market (TAM) and aim for evergreen potential.
- My mistake: I spent a ton of effort on a "Claude Code" tutorial without checking the market, only to realize it had already been covered by everyone else. Rigorously filter your ideas!
4. Show people the "Why"
- Don't assume people will automatically get why your product, idea, or video matters. You have to show them why they should care, and how they should feel about it.
Whatever you are working on right now, I hope these help you communicate your value a little better! Let's keep growing. 🚀
