Introduction & Homework

Hi everyone,

I am one of the aspiring creators, so I don't have anything to show for content yet...

I am working towards a mini documentary and definitely need to get over cringe mountain first. I want to start documenting my journey as I research more about my documentary topic, practice the craft, and study film and filmmaking. I wanted to pursue photojournalism but...life, so I am starting here. My photo portfolio is a mess right now but I'll add a link to a photo story/article I wrote on there if you want an idea of what my work might look/sound like. I don't have any video stories up because I keep getting stuck in the editing stage. I'm rambling because I'm nervous.

My why is getting to a place where I have the confidence and skill to make this documentary. It is a story worth telling. In general, that is my why. Every story is worth telling. Everyone deserves to be heard and seen. Also, convincing myself that I am capable of being that storyteller.
