Hi there my amazing fellow mermaids 🩷
My name is Nikky, and I am honoured to impart a little bit of my knowledge and experience on you. But first, here is a small recap of who I am and why this was created.
😬 Back in 2019 I became the manager of a local dive shop. In the 3 years I worked there I developed myself and learned what NOT to do.
🫶🏻 Then in 2022, once I left that shop, I became an OW instructor and had my own business. That's also around the time that I started making videos on instagram, hoping to find some scuba friends. (@scubanikky)
💙 I had some awful experiences, which I will not bore you with, but I am happy where it brought me: organising all female dive trips and creating a community of female divers.
There aren't many women in this male dominated sector, and that is a shame. To make a change I decided to create this guide for scuba 'babies' who could use some tips on how to survive this industry.
I'm hoping you will love reading it as much as I loved making it 🩷
