Facebook Groups Dying --> So Here's My Pivot 🥳
11 years ago I launched a FB group.
Meh, I thought it would be fun.
To make some online friends.
Have everyone share marketing tips and strategies.
The glory days those were.
And so I would share short little videos around Facebook ads.
People seemed to love them.
So I did about 1 per week.
Next thing I knew; people were asking me if they could hire me.
They saw my videos and wanted help with Facebook ads.
It wasn't my expectation.
I wasn't any type of guru.
It was weird.
And exciting.
But without any intention; it kept bringing me clients.
Unfortunately Facebook groups slowly died.
The quality of them.
The algorithm pushed them into a separate newsfeed.
Then the spam took over.
Few new features or updates were rolled out.
There was no place to host a series of videos.
And Facebook updated to mimic the likes of Tiktok and Instagram.
Now; the platform seems to be purely ads.
