iPhone Camera during interviews

Hi All, When I set up my iPhone as a camera through descript, it will only let me use the back of the phone as the camera (so I cannot see myself or my guest on the iPhone). Therefore, I'm attaching my iPhone to my laptop. The video is being recorded on my phone but I can only see the face of my interviewee on my laptop. How do you set this up so that your eyes are looking at the person and camera at the same time. I found that I can't have my iPhone camera on a tripod, otherwise my gaze is down on my laptop so I simply leaned my phone against my laptops screen so my gaze toward my guest is near the camera? Is there a better way to do this? It's not the best angle of me, but I'm not sure how else to make it happen? Thank you for any ideas!
