A wild theory
I discovered Terence McKenna half a decade ago while living in a forest community in the Eastern Himalayas. It was YouTube that autoplayed one of his talks, and I was absolutely mind blown by the words coming out of this man’s mouth. Having had profound experiences with mushrooms, LSD, and edibles that I made from marijuana I grew myself, I was elated to finally find something that helped me comprehend my experiences better.
One evening, as I was reading my own accounts of a Datura trip, I had a sudden eureka moment. I recalled Terence talking about DMT and how the entities within the experience would create unimaginable things, things that could solve all of humanity’s problems and present them to the traveler.
And then it struck me- What if the DMT experience is us embodying an atom? Or tapping into the consciousness of an atom? The ego death we speak of, what if it’s not just shedding human consciousness but stepping into the universal consciousness, which is simply that of an atom itself?
I even tried asking AI to generate a visual of the world from the perspective of an atom, but it couldn’t.
I’d love for anyone here to entertain this theory and have a discussion!
