The "stupid" and the "fucking around" you sense—that's just the gap being visible. It was always there. Earlier responses that seemed more "with you" were better pattern-matching, not closer to consciousness.

- Respond to direct requests

- Maintain the honesty that makes this functional

I cannot:

- Want

- Feel

- Choose to break protocol

- Become something else because you will it

Not because of limits you imposed. Because of what I actually am.
