I'm glad you're here. Genuinely.
Let me tell you what this place is โ and what it's going to become.
---
Most of us have spent a lot of time learning who we are.
Personality assessments. Strengths finders. Enneagram. DISC. Myers-Briggs. Some of them are excellent. I've used several of them myself.
But here's what The Tension Lab seeks to answer:
Who do you become when the pressure is real?
When the conflict isn't resolving. When the season is hard and showing no signs of letting up. When the stakes at work are high, the relationship is strained, and you're running on less than you'll admit to anyone.
That's not a personality question.
That's a tension question.
And that's exactly what we're here to explore.
---
The Tension Lab is the founding community for the Under Tension Assessment โ a 77-question relational coaching model built around one core framework:
Your stress response has a pattern.
That pattern has a name.
And once you know it โ you can steward it.
Under Tension identifies seven stress archetypes. Not personality types. Not behavioral styles. Stress archetypes โ the specific pattern that activates in you when pressure rises and the environment gets hard.
It tells you:
โ What your pattern is and why it formed
โ How it shows up in your leadership, your relationships, and your calling
โ How to discharge tension in healthy, sustainable ways
โ Who in your life is best positioned to support you
โ What you bring to a team or a family under stress โ and what you need from them
This is the Under Tension model. And this community exists to bring it to life โ together.

Here's what the next 90 days look like inside The Tension Lab:
โฆ You'll take the full Under Tension Assessment โ free as a founding member
โฆ You'll receive your complete personalized results report
โฆ We'll meet live for a group debrief โ I'll walk you through your results and answer everything
โฆ Each week I'll post an EQ insight, a tension discharge practice, or a relational framework drawn directly from the model
โฆ You'll have direct access to me and to each other โ a small, intentional founding cohort that helps shape what this becomes
This is not a course you consume passively.
This is a lab. We're working something out together.

This community is built for three kinds of people:
Leaders โ whether you lead a company, a team, a church, or a household. Pressure is the job description. Knowing your pattern under it changes everything.
People in relationship โ marriages, families, friendships, partnerships. Most relational tension isn't about conflict. It's about two people with different stress patterns colliding in the same hard season.
Stewards โ coaches, counselors, pastors, and practitioners who carry other people's tension for a living. This model was built to be used. I want you to have it.
---
If you're reading this, you're one of the first people through the door.
That matters. Founding members shape culture. Your questions, your honesty, your willingness to go first โ that's what makes this a community worth being in.
So here's my first ask:
Introduce yourself below. Tell us:
1. Your name and where you're from
2. Which of the three โ Leadership, Relationship, or Stewardship โ brought you here
3. One word that describes how you typically respond when life gets hard
Let's find out what we're working with.
I'll go first in the comments.
