How the Work Actually Moves
This category is about the lived experience of creating, and our creations. Not just the finished product/work, or wins. Instead, the process as it actually unfolds, and the creations. Feel free to share either or.
This is where we talk about:
~ How ideas arrive (or don't)
~ Resistance, avoidance, and fear
~ Momentum and stalls
~ Drafts, sketches, fragments, and half-formed thoughts
~ Creative cycles: starting, stopping, returning
~ What it feels like to stay in the work long-term
I'll share my own creative process here - what I'm working on, how I'm thinking through it, and what I notice along the way. Sometimes that will be clear and articulate, other times I suspect it will be messy and unresolved. That's not a bug, that's the point. I encourage you to treat this space with the same tone.
You're also encouraged to post:
~ Works in progress
~ Questions about your process
~ Moments of confusion or clarity
~ Reflections on what's shifting in how you create
~ Things you're stuck on or slowly learning to trust
You don't need to explain everything or do so perfectly or justify your process. You also don't need to turn your creativity into content.
This is a space where process is respected, not rushed.
A final note on this category.
Creative process is not linear and doesn't always respond well to pressure. This space exists to help you stay in relationship with you work - without forcing it to perform.
