Being a mom
It’s an interesting job. We all do it differently.
A friend recently told me to stop being my adult child’s friend and be his mom. First, I am not his friend. Second, just because we parent differently doesn't mean I'm wrong. I gave birth to the boy who was born with a pressure face (Dr said prupke, I saw blue). I've raised him through the good, the bad and the ugly. I always love him. I like who he chooses to be.
Even though he is my roommate, I do not feel, it is my job to provide tough love at this time. There's so much to the story and I don't believe in tough love for every day, only in extremes.
Perception is interesting.
I’ll consider what I was told but in the end, it’s my choice. Nobody else is my child's mother
