The 3-Day Rule For Memory ๐Ÿ“…
Here's a simple system to make information stick permanently: Day 1: Learn new material in class/lecture Day 2: Quiz yourself on it (no looking at notes) Day 3: Test yourself again without reviewing first If you can recall it on Day 3 without any review, it's moving into long-term memory. If you can't? That topic goes on your "review again in 1 week" list. This catches knowledge gaps BEFORE they become exam problems. Most students only review once (or never) and wonder why they forget everything by exam week. Want the complete retention system with all the science-backed intervals? Most Students Get Stuck At Level 1 & 2 ๐ŸŽฏ
84% of students use methods that barely work: Highlighting, re-reading, watching lectures twice. These keep you at the LOWEST levels of learning (remembering and understanding). You feel productive, but nothing sticks. Real learning happens at levels 3, 4, and 5: Applying knowledge to new situations. Analyzing problems from different angles. Evaluating what actually works. That's where your brain has to WORK - and that effort builds long-term memory. Want to know the 6 methods that push you into higher-level learning? Comment "BLOOM" below for the complete breakdown ๐Ÿ‘‡
