Question on Angles 3 & 4
I recognize that the 6 angles come from the traditional Saber manuals. These upward diagonal strikes with a blade make perfect sense when trying to cut something. But given that we have a stick, and not a blade....wouldn't it make more sense to do these upward diagonal strike as if contacting with the spine of a blade rather than the edge? Seems like this would allow the tip of the stick to lead rather than trail and would be a more powerful hit. This would make striking these angles much like doing the thrash. Especially Angle #3. Trying to strike with the "edge" of the stick has far less power than doing the strike with the "spine" of the stick.
