The Spiral of Becoming weaves Philosophy, Mysticism, Law and Criminology to demonstrate an embodied model for spiritual realization and attainment in today’s world. It bridges the philosophies of East and West by staging a layered dialogue between Foucault’s ethics of the Self and the esoteric traditions of Islam, in particular the Sufi model of self-annihilation (fana’) and Divine realization (tawhid), rendering visible the sacred in the secular, and the mystical through the material.
The Spiral of Becoming offers seekers and students an opportunity to explore an embodied mystic philosophy within a safe and contained environment. Designed for all range and state of seekers, The Spiral of Becoming models a methodology of embodied philosophy for the seeker to witness, engage, mimic and translate to their own reality, offering the theoretical framework and tools for their own spiritual attainment.
