BEFORE THE CHALLENGE STARTS TOMORROW... DO THIS!
If you are BRAND new to pet UGC, don't stress... just get this set up today so you can actually participate.
SET UP YOUR PET PAGE (10 MIN)
- Username should be simple and clean
- Bio: Who your pet is and highlight their unique feature or personality type
- Profile pic: CLEAR photo of your pet
POST YOUR FIRST 5 PIECES OF CONTENT
Don't overthink this. Use what you already have. I know if you are a pet parent your entire camera roll is full of content.
Start with these:
- Intro post. This sets the tone. Introduce your pet in whatever voice you want all content to be in. Example: "Hi, I am ____" or "Hi, this is ___"... is it your POV or theirs?
- Day in the life clip or a fun routine moment
- Favorite Toy/ Treat/ Breakfast moment
- Personality clip. (Adventure time, Downing a pup-cup, Meeting a baby...)
- Close up interaction (playing and goofy moments do well)
DON'T WORRY ABOUT:
- Followers (you are creating content, not selling products. audience size means nothing)
- Aesthetics (this can come later as you build)
- Going viral (again.. you aren't an influencer)
REMINDER
You do not need to be perfect or feel "ready" to start getting paid.
You just need:
- An optimized page
- A few example posts
- A pet that exists
