What Does “Waiting in the Presence of God” Actually Mean?
Waiting in the presence of God—often called “soaking”—is simply resting before God with an open heart. It’s not about striving, performing, or saying the right words. It’s about:
🌿 Being still—quieting your spirit and letting your heart settle.
🌿 Becoming aware of God’s nearness—trusting that He is with you, even if you don’t “feel” anything.
🌿 Letting go of agenda—choosing to receive rather than achieve.
🌿 Allowing Him to speak, heal, refresh, and fill you in His own gentle way.
🌿 Resting in His love—like sitting with someone who cares for you deeply.
It’s less about doing something or requesting something and more about simply being with our Heavenly Father—letting His presence shape your heart, quiet your mind, and strengthen your soul.
