Roots and wings
The other day, an airplane literally landed on the lake in front of my house. ✈️
I joked that it better be my rich knight in shining armor, ready to whisk me away.
But then I realized…
I am my own knight in shining armor.
Well—actually, God is. 🙏
And I don’t want to be whisked away.
I want to be rooted—in the land my family has been connected to for generations.
I want to build here. Heal here. Raise my boys here.
The two most important things I’ve done to get clear on what I want—and to sustain this mindset—were:
1️⃣ Asking for a divorce
2️⃣ Aligning with digital marketing
Both were acts of self-trust.
Both required faith.
Both gave me the ability to choose stability without sacrificing freedom.
That plane didn’t come to take me away.
It reminded me I finally get to choose where I land. 🤍
And that I don’t NEED to be whisked away.
