An excellent example of counting and playing
Have a listen to this audio file and follow along with the score.
This is playing the right-hand part of "Fly Me to the Moon" with the metronome.
I think he did an excellent job with this! Here's the feedback I gave him:
Awesome work, Seamus! That's a lot of progress in a short space of time.
There are just two occasions where the rhythm isn't quite right yet: the first bar of lines three and four. Try sending me a recording of just those two bars (with upbeats) with the metronome. Remember to move to the second note of each bar on the "one AND", not on the "two".
Very occasionally, it gets slightly behind the metronome. Can we try a version where you count out loud while doing the exact same thing? Feel free to slow it down if it becomes too difficult.
Other than that, it's really sounding brilliant! A huge well done!
How are you with playing with your hands separately with the metronome?
I don't do it
I try it, but I'm stuck
I'm totally fine with it
