I’m Dennis, a middle school science teacher, and I built this space for teachers who want their students to do more than just sit through another lesson.
The goal here is simple:
Help science teachers start lessons with more curiosity, discussion, and student buy-in — without having to redesign their entire curriculum.
Inside The Science Hook Lab, I’ll be sharing lesson-opening ideas, hook examples, classroom strategies, and resources designed to help students wonder, predict, talk, and actually want to understand what comes next.
This is not about making every lesson flashy.
It’s about making the first few minutes matter.
Whether your class struggles with blank stares, low participation, side conversations, or that “why are we doing this?” energy, this space is here to help you create stronger starts to your science lessons.
Excited to build this community and share what’s helped in my own classroom.
