THE COST OF WORDS
Most people believe communication is about adding. More words. More detail. More persuas
ion. They are wrong.
Every word you speak or write is a cost. It demands a fraction of your audience's finite wealth: their time, their focus, their decision.
In this Society, we do not teach you to add. We teach you to subtract.
We eliminate the debt.
We don't replace "grow" with "scale." We remove "very quickly." We don't swap "I'm writing to" for a better phrase. We strike it through.
The objective is not eloquence. The objective is zero excess.
The cost of noise is failure. The power of silence is absolute.
Say only what survives.
