Course Structure: The Qur’an Fluency Path
QuranSkool follows a clear, module-based learning system designed for busy professionals and adult learners. Each level is broken into focused modules, allowing students to make steady progress with manageable lessons and consistent practice.
Level 1: Qaa’idah Foundations
Goal: Build a strong foundation in Arabic reading and pronunciation.
This level prepares students to read Qur’anic Arabic confidently by mastering letters, vowels, and word formation.
Module 1: Arabic Alphabet & Pronunciation
Students learn to recognise and correctly pronounce all Arabic letters.
- Introduction to the Qur’an learning journey
- Arabic alphabet (29 letters) in isolation
- Throat letters and their correct articulation
- Lips and tongue letters
- Heavy (tafkhīm) and light (tarqīq) letters
- Differentiating similar-sounding letters
Module 2: Mastering Short Vowels (Harakaat)
Students learn how vowel signs change letter sounds.
- Fathah, Kasrah, and Dammah
- Correct pronunciation with examples
- Mixed vowel practice using Qur’anic words
Module 3: Sukoon & Joining Letters
Students learn how letters connect to form complete words.
- Sukoon (silent letters)
- Joining two letters
- Joining three letters
- Reading simple Qur’anic words
Module 4: Tanween & Madd (Stretching Sounds)
Students develop fluency through nasal and elongated sounds.
- Tanween (double vowels)
- Madd letters (ا، و، ي)
- Combining vowels with madd in Qur’anic examples
Module 5: Reading Fluency Practice
Students apply everything they have learned.
- Continuous word-reading practice
- Short Qur’anic phrases and ayahs
- Final assessment and reflection
Level 1 Outcome:Students confidently identify letters, read joined words, and begin reciting short Qur’anic verses fluently.
Level 2: Tajweed Essentials
Goal: Understand and apply the essential rules of Tajweed.
This level focuses on correctness, clarity, and beauty in recitation.
Module 1: Introduction to Tajweed
- What Tajweed is and why it matters
- Importance of correct pronunciation
- Common mistakes beginners make
Module 2: Makhārij al-Ḥurūf (Articulation Points)
- Understanding articulation points
- Throat letters in depth
- Tongue letters and placement
- Lips, nose, and nasal sounds (ghunnah)
Module 3: Noon Sakinah & Tanween Rules
- Idh-hār (clear pronunciation)
- Idghām (merging)
- Iqlāb (changing sound)
- Ikhfā’ (hidden sound)
Module 4: Meem Sakinah Rules
- Idghām Shafawī
- Ikhfā’ Shafawī
- Idh-hār Shafawī
Module 5: Qalqalah & Madd
- Qalqalah letters and echoing sound
- Madd rules and elongation counts
- Types of Madd with Qur’anic examples
Module 6: Practice & Fluency
- Applying Tajweed in short surahs
- Reviewing common Tajweed mistakes
- Final recitation assessment
Level 2 Outcome:Students accurately apply Tajweed rules and recite short surahs with clarity and confidence.
Level 3: Short Surahs Practice (Juz ‘Amma)
Goal: Develop fluency, rhythm, and confidence.
Module 1: Introduction to Fluency
- Recitation etiquette (ādāb al-tilāwah)
- Qur’anic flow and pausing
- Voice warm-up exercises
Module 2: Juz ‘Amma Practice (Part 1)
- Surah Al-Fātiḥah

Module 3: Developing Consistency (Part 2)

Module 4: Advanced Fluency Skills
- Connecting surahs smoothly
- Understanding recitation rhythm (Tarteel vs Hadr)

Module 5: Fluency Assessment & Reflection

Level 3 Outcome:Students recite short surahs fluently with natural Tajweed and strong confidence.
Level 4: Whole Qur’an Fluency
Goal: Achieve consistent, independent Qur’an recitation.
Module 1: Establishing Fluency & Flow
- Maintaining steady pace
- Connecting verses naturally
- Long-page recitation drills
Module 2: Advanced Tajweed Application
- Applying Tajweed in long recitations
- Recognising waqf signs
- Balancing ghunnah and qalqalah
Module 3: Juz ‘Amma to Juz’ Tabarak Fluency
- Revising familiar surahs
- Transitioning to longer passages
- Group recitation and feedback
Module 4: Middle Qur’an Mastery (Juz 15–25)
- Reading unfamiliar verses confidently
- Long recitation endurance

Module 5: Khatmah Readiness
