Dear God, thank You for this day and for being a God who is never absent, even when it feels that way. Your word in Mark 4:39 says, “Then He arose and rebuked the wind and said to the sea, ‘Peace be still.’ And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm.” God, I’m in the middle of a storm right now, and just like the disciples, I’ve let the waves make me forget what You already said. You don’t promise smooth sailing, but You do promise to get me where You said I’m going. Help me hold on to that today instead of panicking over everything I can’t control. I’m choosing to rest in You, because if You’re not worried, then I don’t have to be either. Thank You for speaking peace over every storm in my life. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God. -Matthew 5:9
