When Good Feels Unfamiliar
After reacting with confusion to another opportunity, one of my advisors said something that stuck with me: “You always seem confused when something good happens to you.”
And she was right.
The truth is, when you’ve spent enough time in environments that make you feel small, recognition can feel unfamiliar. You start questioning opportunities instead of simply receiving them.
But I’m learning that sometimes the opportunities showing up are simply a reflection of the work, consistency, and effort people have been seeing, even when you struggle to see it yourself.
