I did a thing…
Ok I have to share this because I don’t know where else to write it. I did a crazy thing.
I’ll set the scene.
2 nights ago I was sitting in the dark in my one year olds bedroom rocking her to sleep, she took a while to go off to sleep so I was probably in there for 30 mins or so without my phone.
During that time I came up with a bit of a ludicrous plan. My husband’s (particularly but also me I guess) biggest source of stress is our mortgage. Back in the summer, we moved house to downsize our mortgage. We knocked about 100k off it.
Now I’ve come up with a challenge for us to clear the whole thing in 12 months. We started yesterday, which was my birthday, so by my 36th birthday I want it gone.
How? Any means, skills, creativity we have got. I have digital skills, my husband has niche knowledge on model aeroplanes, trains & cars. We have our events business. Etc.
So. I put it on TikTok didn’t I? And overnight the video has had over 7k views & we’ve got over 100 followers.
So I guess we’re really gonna do this then?! Let’s see how much of our £222k mortgage we can banish in a year! Eek.
Slightly random & off-topic - but I figured some of you might enjoy a peek into my crazy mind hehe
