The keygrid uses a perfect-fourths layout with consistent note relationships and repeatable shapes.. a different path into melody, harmony and two-hand playing.
Start with Keygrid Foundations, our free six-module course:
  • Learn what the keygrid is all about
  • Get your Launchpad X and Ableton setup working.
  • Chart the note geometry of the keygrid.
  • Find notes, play your first melodies and chords, and begin combining both hands.
  • Connect basic notation to the grid.
  • Record a Practice Bit and use feedback to refine it.
Includes note maps, checklists, beginner Practice Bits and a community for sharing progress and asking questions.

No piano or keygrid experience needed. Other musical backgrounds are welcome too.
